Taylor Swift, moved by her recent sexual assault case, has made a “generous” donation to the Joyful Heart Foundation, which helps to aid those who have fallen victim to sexual assailants.

Shortly after Taylor Swift won her groping case against former DJ David Mueller on Monday, she announced that she would be making donations to charities that offer support to sexual assault victims. The Joyful Heart Foundation confirmed Swift’s contribution on Thursday, thanking her for her support, E! News reports.

“Joyful Heart is honored to be recognized by Taylor Swift for our work on behalf of and in service to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse,” a spokesperson for the foundation said.

The Joyful Heart Foundation CEO Maile M. Zambuto did not disclose the amount of money donated by the “Shake It Off” star while speaking to HuffPost, but said it was a “generous financial investment in the movement to end sexual violence.”

“Law & Order” star Mariska Hargitay founded JHF to “transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever,” according to her statement to E! News. (RELATED: Taylor Swift’s Groping Trial Is Nothing Short Of Hilarious)

“The experience of sexual assault and domestic violence can be extremely isolating. One of the most important points we make to survivors is this: you are not alone,” Hargitay said. “I hope that Taylor’s very public experience—and her decision to speak out—not only helps empower other victims to speak up and take action, but offers them solidarity. I’m honored by her dedication and commitment to these issues, and I’m deeply grateful for her support of the Joyful Heart Foundation.”
