Americans everywhere can start rejoicing because this is our final weekend of 2017 without football.

We’re almost there everybody, and the final weekend without football is a major marker for how close we’re getting to college football being back.

We’re only seven days away from cracking a few cold beers, watching the air raid offenses of the Big 12, enjoying the power running game of the Big Ten, eating some brats, cooking some burgers, and enjoying the greatest time of the year.

Were there times when I thought our society would collapse before the return of football? Absolutely, and it’s important to remember we’re not back yet. We’re just about to endure the final weekend of the year without football. Once the sun comes up Monday, we’ll never have to worry about a weekend without football on our televisions for all of 2017.

Hold your loved ones tight, try to stay busy this weekend, keep your mind focused on other things, and remember we’re almost there. I’m proud of everybody who has made it this far. Our ability to endure without football is truly the same spirit that beat the Nazis.

Congratulations. We’re almost there.
