Kyrie Irving was traded to the Boston Celtics Tuesday night and the Cavaliers got Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and a 2018 first-round pick.

Before the Cavaliers finalized an agreement with the Celtics, they had talked to the Golden State Warriors about a trade involving guard Klay Thompson. Golden State wanted nothing to do with this trade, according to multiple reports.

Klay Thompson responded to the trade rumors and said,”It’s really cool. It shows the Warriors believe in me and other teams want me to be a part of their success, so I appreciate it,” according to CBS Sports.

Thompson said he has been apart of trade rumors forever and knows that it is just part of the sports business. The Warriors will be able to stay together now. After they won the 2017 NBA Finals, it is probably a good idea this group sticks together.

The Thompson/Irving trade certainly would have made things interesting, but I think the Cavs came out on top with this trade.
