Police arrested a 16-year-old black student that knocked over and punched a Milwaukee teacher repeatedly in a video released Tuesday.

The altercation occurred in Milwaukee’s South Division High School just one week into the start of the school year, according to WTMJ.

“Somebody didn’t teach your child enough respect to say don’t swing at a teacher. You don’t swing at an adult. You don’t disrespect adults,” said Jerry Gerth, whose daughter is a freshman at the school. “It makes me mad.”

“That scares me,” added his wife, Niki Gerth. “Oh my god, that really scares me.”

Milwaukee police report that the teen will possibly be charged with battery at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office but have not identified either party in the incident.

“He is kind of like [a] helper,” Gustavo Miramontes, a student at South Division High, said about the teacher involved. “He mostly just like if a kid has a question he will help them out if they are struggling or something.”

“[Milwaukee Public Schools] is cooperating with the Milwaukee Police Department to investigate a situation that occurred at 1515 W Lapham Blvd,” Andy Nelson, the school system’s media manager, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Due to this being an ongoing investigation, we cannot comment further. However, in general, students who violate the code of conduct face disciplinary action that includes expulsion.”
