Vaping is growing in popularity across the country, especially for smokers who are looking for a harm reducing method, while still being able to get the nicotine. While quitting smoking cigarettes cold turkey is very difficult to do, smokers are finding that vaping is helping them do just that. Many smokers have tried cold turkey, medications, patches and nicotine gum to quit with little to no success. Studies have not come out yet, but it is likely that vaping gives you the best chance to being able to quit smoking for good. It is only natural to see a growing list of celebrities who now vape, instead of smoking cigarettes. Here are 7 very well known celebrities who have been seen vaping:

Leonardo DiCaprio – born on November 11, 1974, in Los Angeles. Long career in acting, starting with commercials and educational films as a child. Movies such as “Titanic,” “Gangs of New York,” and “Wolf of Wall Street” were all major hits in the past 15 years. He was seen at the SAG awards vaping right in the middle of the crowd. He has also been spotted vaping on the beach, on boats and a few other places outdoors. Oh, and he vapes during sex.

Johnny Depp – born June 9, 1963. He started out in the 1980s television series “21 Jump Street.” His most notable roles of late are all those Pirates of the Caribbean movies. (No, we aren’t counting “Mordecai “as a “notable role.”) Depp has smoked cigarettes in the past, but recently was seen on set of “The Tourist” vaping. This isn’t the first time he was spotted vaping either.

Dennis Quaid – born April 9, 1954. Quaid has had a long acting career. “The Day After Tomorrow” and “The Rookie” stand out among his best films. He has been spotted out and about, casually vaping. Also, he uses an e-cig in his movie “Beneath the Darkness.”

Samuel L. Jackson – born December 21, 1948. Jackson has been in too many movies to list, that’s for sure. We all know who he is. Mr. Jackson goes for the big vape mods. He is a vaping enthusiast, as evidenced by his frequent posts on his Twitter account. Some might say he loves vaping as much as he loves Kangol hats.

Sean Penn – born August 17, 1960. Penn has been a well known actor for many years but has reestablished himself in recent years as a leftist political activist, palling around with Hugo Chavez and the Castro brothers. “Mystic River” and “Milk” stand out among his movies, although we liked him best back in the day as stoner bro Jeff Spicoli in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” As far as vaping, he was up on stage at the “Clinton Global Initiative” casually vaping on an e-cig.

Jack Nicholson – born April 22, 1937). Nicholson has been in the public eye for over 60 years. Notable movies include “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest,” “Mars Attacks,” and “The Departed“. He vapes his e-cigs while he does his signings. The only surprising thing is that he hasn’t been spotted vaping court-side at a Lakers’ game. Yet.

This is a list of just a few celebrities who have been seen vaping, from pictures taken in public. Some of them surely smoked cigarettes in the past before moving on to the healthier alternative. One way or another, vaping is hitting Hollywood, just as it has your average everyday American. It’s just a matter of time before the vaping version of Nick Naylor gets e-cigarettes into some big budget movies. They’ve already made it onto the small screen:
