The season seven finale of “Game of Thrones” lived up to the hype and already has fans itching for the eighth and final season to begin. The penultimate season finale threw a lot at us, but two specific occurrences have everyone talking — even the stars of the show.

Throughout the series, George R. R. Martin and the “Game of Thrones” creators have been dropping hints that Jon Snow was not Ned Stark’s bastard son, but is instead the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark — which makes him the heir to the Iron Throne.

On Sunday, the show finally confirmed that theory. Meanwhile, throughout the season, tension between Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Snow (Kit Harington) has been building leading to them falling for one another and finally acting on it at the season’s end. So, the relationship we’ve been pulling for all along was spoiled with the realization of incest, and the two stars are just as skeptical as you are.

Clarke and Harington offered their take on the strange circumstances of their characters’ relationship in an interview with Entertainment Weekly and gave their predictions on what’s going to happen when they both discover the truth. (RELATED: The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Finale Was Outstanding)

“Ewwwww!” Clarke said with a laugh. “I think that’s how it’s going to go. I get the toothbrush,” she said pretending to brush her tongue.”

Harington didn’t joke about the imminent realization, but didn’t have much to offer either.

“That part of it, I can’t predict,” he said. “It could be them walking off into the sunset. It could be them killing each other.”

“I said to Emilia it’s going to be a really cool scene when they find out.”

That’s for sure. And unfortunately we’re going to have to wait far too long to find out.
