J.J. Watt announced on his social media page that he was creating a fundraising site for people to donate in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. On Tuesday the site surpassed $2 million when the first goal after he set it up was $500,000 on Sunday.
Once it surpassed $2 million, Watt raised the goal to $3 million after only a few hours. Now the fundraising site has hit $4 million in donations and so many people want to donate the site started crashing. The CEO of YouCaring released this statement:

Watt was overwhelmed with how many people were donating and said,”I think that it’s been an unbelievable display of what can happen when people come together. Just to see how many people are sharing it, to see how many people are donating. Whether it’s $5, whether it’s $500, whatever it may be, to see so many people’s support, to see so many people send the message, spread the message, it’s incredible,” according to Bleacher Report.
