A federal judge fined pro-life activist David Daleiden and his attorneys $200,000 Thursday in an ongoing case involving covert filming at Planned Parenthood clinics.

U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick said he hopes the exorbitant fee will make Daleiden — the man that released undercover videos of Planned Parenthood negotiations on the harvesting and selling of aborted babies’ organs — and his attorneys, Steve Cooley and Brentford Ferreira, think twice before combatting the injunction against them, according to the Associated Press.

The fine comes after an Aug. 24 hearing at the San Francisco Superior Court which addressed the 15 criminal charges filed by the California Attorney General’s office against Daleiden, the project leader at the Center for Medical Progress. While the AG argued that Daleiden violated California’s recording law, Daleiden’s defense maintained that the undercover journalists had committed no wrong because the video recordings were made in open, public areas. Daleiden’s defense attorneys were confident that they would come out with a win after the hearing, but the judge ruled otherwise.

The $200,000 fine also comes after a Texas judge dismissed misdemeanor charges in 2015 for attempting to purchase human organs and allegedly using a fake ID brought by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. (RELATED: Judge Drops Misdemeanor Charge Against Planned Parenthood Video Creator).
