Paige VanZant’s opponents might not want to step into the cage with her after a recent Instagram post.
VanZant posted a photo herself in fighting gear, and captioned the shot, “Winter is coming. #ufc216.”
“Winter is coming” is a popular saying from the hit show “Game of Thrones,” and it never refers to anything positive on the horizon. In fact, it has gotten plenty of people killed.
VanZant’s upcoming opponent at UFC 216 is Jessica Eye, and I might have to bet the house on Paige.
Which “Game of Thrones” character is she most similar too? I’m thinking it has to be Daenerys. Both are dominant blonde women, both never shy away from conflict and they even share a similar overall physical appearance.
Well, if the last season showed us anything about Dany, it’s the fact she’s willing to go scorched Earth on her enemies. Now we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not VanZant is able to smoke eye in the octagon.
