The EPA Is Shrinking, Which Is… Bad?

I get confused even more than usual these days, because I keep hearing two different things:

  1. Government is good, and the more government we have, the better
  2. The guy we’ve got in charge of the government right now is evil

Those two things seem contradictory to me, probably because I’m a fascist. So I don’t know how to react to the following news. Reuters:

The workforce at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is on course to fall to its lowest level since Ronald Reagan was president, an agency official said on Tuesday…

The EPA employs about 15,000 people.

After buyouts and retirements, that number could drop to 14,428 by October…

Wow, a whole 4 percent decrease. Which is… bad? Right? It’s bad? Or is it good? I don’t know anymore.

What will happen to the environment without those 572 government functionaries protecting it? Are we all going to die? I think Trump wants us all to die.

Time for the weather climate to kill everybody, I guess. Nice knowin’ ya, folks.
