A TV reporter rescued two beached dolphins while covering Hurricane Irma damage at Marco Island, Fla., Monday.

Kerry Sanders, a correspondent for NBC, was covering Irma damage when he saw a baby dolphin on the shore, reported The New York Post. The reporter took matters into his own hands and led the dolphin back to water.

“It’s exhausted,” said Sanders and he guided the dolphin back, reported Yahoo! News.

Soon afterward, however, an adult dolphin came to shore. He joined a group of people hoisting the dolphin back into the water.

“It was big. It took a lot of people together to get that dolphin back into the water,” said Sanders, adding that, “It was heavy, not easy.”

The baby and adult dolphin quickly disappeared in the water, swimming to the Gulf of Mexico.
