The son of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael G. Flynn, finds himself at the center of a federal investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, NBC reports.

Federal investigators are looking into Flynn’s time working at Flynn Intel Group, his father’s lobbying firm. The younger Flynn was reportedly heavily involved in the day-to-day operations at the firm, and he served as his father’s chief of staff.

Flynn worked closely with his father, who is already under investigation for his connections to foreign governments, at Flynn Intel Group. The younger Flynn reportedly took a business trip to Moscow in 2015, where his father gave a paid speech at a gala for the Russian state-owned television network, Russian Television. Flynn’s father reportedly sat at the same table as Russian President Vladimir Putin during the gala.

Investigators are already looking at Flynn’s father, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, special adviser Jared Kushner, and Trump’s eldest son, Don Jr.

The older Flynn resigned from his post at the White House in February amid accusations that he misled Vice President Mike Pence about a call he had with the Russian ambassador, in which he reportedly discussed sanctions levied against Moscow.
