Kevin Durant has made it pretty clear how he feels about Donald Trump, so it should come as no surprise he’s supporting the ESPN host who called the president a white supremacist.
Jemele Hill, the co-host of “The Six” on SportsCenter, fired off a series of tweets earlier this week in which she called the president a white supremacist among other things. Kevin Durant, who recently blamed Trump for the racial tension in America, voiced his support for Hill to TMZ late Thursday night. (RELATED: Kaepernick Voices Support For Jemele Hill)
“I’m behind Jemele. I support her,” the Golden State Warriors star said. “She’s standing up for what she believe in, I’m with it.”
ESPN addressed their employee’s remarks about Trump in a statement released on Monday, but did not indicate whether she would be disciplined for attacking the president. (RELATED: Kevin Durant Believes Donald Trump Is ‘Driving’ Racial Tension In America)
On Wednesday White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Hill’s remarks were a “fireable offense,” but Trump didn’t address the issue until Friday.
ESPN is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth!
