Photos are now starting to emerge from the scene of an intended improvised explosive device terrorist attack on the London metro system Friday.
Video of the device shows that it did not fully detonate, but still caused some harm to passengers during the rush hour commute to work. London authorities said 22 people were injured in the blast and are being treated for burn injuries, but the device did not kill anyone. The device reportedly had a timer.

“I must speculate that either the mixture was not of the right composition or that the ignition system was inadequate or not properly placed,” Imperial College London’s department of chemical engineering Professor Hans Michels told SkyNews.
Authorities also indicated that the burns were largely superficial, “with people experiencing red skin and pain, a bit like sunburn.”
