British Prime Minister Theresa May criticized President Donald Trump for speculating that suspects behind Friday’s terror attack in London were previously known to authorities.

“I never think it’s helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation,” May told reporters in response to Trump’s tweets, adding that “police and the security services are obviously doing all the work to discover the full circumstances of this cowardly attack.”

Trump took to Twitter to condemn the “loser terrorists” behind the blast that injured more than 20 people at the Parsons Green subway station. The president further claimed that the “sick and demented people” behind the explosion were “in the sights of Scotland Yard.” (RELATED: Trump: We Must Cut Off Terrorists’ Internet)

Police believe the bomb was placed in a trashcan inside a train and then detonated through a timer. Authorities have not yet reported news of any suspects or arrests.

London police said Trump’s remarks were “unhelpful” for the ongoing investigation, BBC reports.
