During a Monday CSPAN event for her book “What Happened,” Hillary Clinton alleged that President Donald Trump presents “a clear and present danger” to the country.
Citing dystopian novels such as 1984, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Brave New World, Clinton argued that the Trump administration shun truth and logic in order to manipulate the political landscape to their liking.
“We can’t sacrifice truth and facts on the altar of partisanship, the desire on behalf of a particular president and his administration to control the news, to undermine the first amendment, just create this alternate reality,” she said. “Because I think the stakes of what we face in this time are just profound.”
“And I’ve said before and I will repeat it here, I think that this president and the people who’s serve him on this alternative reality track are posing a clear and present danger,” she concluded.
