Cleveland Browns legend Joe Thomas celebrated playing 10,000 consecutive NFL snaps with a glass of whiskey.
The Wisconsin-native posted a photo of a glass of Old Fitzgerald bourbon whiskey following his game Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
The star offensive lineman captioned the photo, “How to properly celebrate 10k snaps, should you ever find yourself in that situation.”

And in classic Thomas fashion, he also didn’t take any of the credit for his incredible success.
I’ve really been humbled by the outpouring of respect from people all over the country. I’m at a loss for words

I feel like a guy who’s just always wanted to be there for my teammates, and I blink my eyes and 10k snaps has gone by.

I’ve just always wanted to get up and play the next play…do my job. Do my part to help my team. I’ve never felt like a star.

Today was difficult, at times, to feel like the spotlight was on me. But in reality…

The spotlight should b on my teammates, coaches, support staff, family; all the way from Jr Lancers to Browns. U guys r the real heros/stars

For without you guys, 10k never happens. Thank you and know I’m thinking about all of you today. @Browns @UWBadgers @BC_lancer_FB, JrLancers

Thomas is without a doubt one of the coolest people to ever put on an NFL uniform. He’s a man who is all about the team and the guys around him. We live in an era where people and athletes are increasingly obsessed with themselves. It’s nice seeing a guy who is still focused on the larger picture and the people around him instead of himself.
