New Jersey Governor Chris Christie got flirty with Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC Tuesday, and provided “Morning Joe” with an awkward moment for the show’s 10 year anniversary.
Brzezinski was interviewing Christie in studio, and wanted to talk about his relationship with President Donald Trump. “Let me change the subject and make it even more awkward” she said.
Christie said that was fine and then asked, “Are we going to talk about our odd attraction? Is that what you want to talk about? That would make it very awkward. Especially in front of Joe.”
“Oh my God!” Brzezinski replied, her voice hitting a high note as began shaking her fists in the air. “He just did that. He went there. Usually Donny does that stuff. Oh my God.”
Brzezinski was referring to “Morning Joe” regular Donny Deutsch who is known for saying head scratching things while the camera is rolling.
The antics drew uncomfortable laughter from the audience.
“I’m sorry,” Christie said. “Which awkward thing did you want to talk about?”
