Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema could very well be fighting for his career Saturday against Texas A&M.

The tide among the Hogs faithful and powerful have finally begun to shift against the former Wisconsin coach after years and years of disappointment and pathetic play. His time with the program could likely be up if he blows it Saturday against a bad Aggies team, and I couldn’t be more excited to watch this game go down.

I can’t even explain how excited people are to watch Bielema put the final nail in his career in the SEC. It’s all anybody back in Wisconsin is talking about. I had somebody call me yesterday and during the course of conversation said they had cleared their entire schedule Saturday to watch this game. People have the champagne on ice, and we’re ready to pop it the moment he loses the game.

This is essentially the same as showing up to your ex-girlfriend’s DUI sentencing not because you want to be supportive, but because you want to laugh as the judge hands down the sentence.

We all make choices and we must live with our choices. Bielema chose to cut and run from the Badgers for a quick pay day, and then proceeded to trash the program that made him famous.

We’ve nearly come full circle, and I’m happy to have shared this journey with so many of my friends, family, readers and fellow Wisconsin people.
