Ellen DeGeneres told Megyn Kelly during her show Wednesday that she wouldn’t have President Donald Trump on because he’s “dangerous to the country” and “the world.”

“I just, you know, he is who he is, and he has enough attention, and he has his Twitter account, and he has ways to get his message across,” the 59-year-old host of “The Ellen DeGerenes Show” explained. (RELATED: Ellen DeGeneres On Obama: ‘I Am A Legally Married Woman Because Of Him’)

“There’s nothing that I am going to say to him that is going to change him, and I don’t want to give him a platform because it just validates him,” she added. “And for me to have someone on the show, I really, I have to at least admire them in some way, and I can’t have someone that I feel is not only dangerous for the country and for me personally as a gay woman but to the world.”

“He’s dividing all of us, and I think I don’t want him on the show,” she continued.

Earlier in the segment, the former Fox News anchor said she would “definitely” welcome the president on her new show “Megyn Kelly Today” and explained that she left the network after everything became “all political.”

“Definitely,” Kelly said. “I would not say no to the sitting president of the United States.”
