Mike Fleiss, creator and producer of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” is trying to use his perch to try to save Obamacare.

In an outlandish deal, he’s offering GOP senators plane tickets to a show they’ve probably never heard of if they vote down the health care bill. Specifically, he’s inviting them to “After the Final Rose,” the episode where the couple comes on TV live to reveal whether their relationship survived in real life.

Why U.S. senators would give a shit about “After the Final Rose” is beyond me.

Can you imagine Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) attending The Bachelor’s “After the Final Rose”? Or needing a free plane ticket to do so?

Also: Fleiss is an idiot. He clearly doesn’t know of the Senate gift rule, which says that no member may accept a gift that is worth more than $50. In the span of one year, a senator may not accept more than $100 from any other indivudial.

Fleiss’s sis is Heidi Fleiss, the former Hollywood Madam who ran a prostitution ring in LA in the 90’s.

He should probably stick to his day job and avoid Washington politics.
