Netflix released the first trailer for its upcoming movie “Wheelman,” and it looks like it has the potential to be a great film.
The plot of the film, according to the Netflix YouTube description, “A getaway driver for a bank robbery realizes he has been double crossed and races to find out who betrayed him.”
Frank Grillo stars in the lead role, and it honestly looks like he never even left his role from the second and third “Purge” movies. That’s a good sign because his character in both of those films was absolutely fascinating.
We don’t see much in the trailer other than Grillo evading capture in his vehicle and lighting up a couple bad guys.
WATCH:
I’m tempted to believe anything Grillo stars in will at least be worth checking out. The guy comes across as incredibly intimidating on film. The ending of “Purge 2” was epic because he sold the belief his tortured character was more than willing to kill.
Hopefully he brings the same performance for “Wheelman.”
