Tomorrow night is the premiere of the new CBS show “SEAL Team,” and my expectations are sky high.

The plot of the show, according to IMDB, is, “The lives of the elite Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask.”

There are few thing betters than a greatly produced military show or movie. Very few things are more enjoyable or gut-wrenching entertainment.

On the other side of the coin, there are few things worse than poorly produced military dramas. They’re just awful, unrealistic and it’s borderline torture to watch a bad military movie or show. That’s why I’m cautiously optimistic about “SEAL Team.”

I find it really hard to imagine a show starring David Boreanaz will be anything less than entertaining, but you just never know these days.

The expectations for a network show should be lots of action, solid plot, realistic storylines and not much more. If it can stick that then hopefully we have a winner here because I’m desperate for a great show for the Fall television schedule.

CBS will air the first “SEAL Team” episode Wednesday night at 9 PM EST.

*Editor’s note: a previous version of this article said the show aired Tuesday night.
