Democratic Representative Jackie Speier said that former Trump adviser Roger Stone was “responsible” and “cooperative” during his closed hearing in front of the House Intel Committee.

Stone testified Tuesday as a part of the ongoing investigation into alleged collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Stone reiterated to the press after his testimony that he is not aware of any collusion with Russia.

“So my takeaway was that he was very responsible, he answers our questions with the exception of one big question–who the in-between confidant was who was able to confirm when Julian Assange was going to release those emails,” Speier said on CNN after the hearing. “But outside of that he was pretty cooperative, he gets kudos from me for doing that.”

Speier said she was disappointed that Stone claimed to not have any emails, tweets, or Facebook messages to share with the committee related to the investigation. She was also perturbed that Stone still believes that the DNC email hacks were an “inside job.”
