Corey Lewandowski began fundraising on behalf of President Donald Trump Saturday in an effort to reshape the Republican majority in Congress to be friendlier to the president.

The former Trump campaign chief sent out fundraising emails courtesy of America First Action PAC, a group working to support the president’s legislative agenda. Lewandowski joined the group on Sept. 17, according to CNN.

“American First Action PAC was founded to enact President Trump’s agenda and support candidates who actually agree with our platform – No RINOs, no liberals. Period.” he wrote in a fundraising email sent to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“But we have to hit this deadline or else we won’t stand a chance against the special interest donors in the swamp who are trying to use the Senate to stop President Trump and silence your voice,” the letter concluded.

The fundraising push comes immediately after the Republican primary runoff in Alabama. Sen. Luther Strange enjoyed the support of President Trump, but conservative opponent Roy Moore was backed by former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, former Gov. Sarah Palin, and countless other conservative names. Moore won the runoff last week by a ten point lead, causing members of the media to question Trump’s ability to support candidates who vote in support of the president’s agenda.

Lewandowski served briefly as Trump’s top campaign staffer before he was ultimately let loose in favor of Paul Manafort. The former staffer has since had a hard year, going to CNN as a contributor before ultimately leaving to carry on the same role at the much smaller One America News Network.
