House GOP Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) will sit down with Fox News’s Martha MacCallum. This is his second sit-down TV interview this week. On Sunday, he appeared on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” where he and his wife were interviewed by Norah O’Donnell.

MacCallum’s interview with Scalise will be Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

A release states that he will “discuss his recovery following being attacked by a gunman at a Congressional baseball practice in Virginia in June.”

This will be an “extended interview” and a “cable news exclusive.”

Scalise returned to Congress last week, where he received a standing ovation in the House Chamber from his colleagues on both sides of the aisle.

Medstar Washington Hospital Center discharged him in late July after he spent six weeks recovering. The shot to his hip damaged some of his other organs. According to the “60 Minutes” interview, Scalise received a blood transfusion that amounted to 18-20 units, which is more than all the blood in his body.

Doctors called it a “massive transfusion protocol.”
