A male TV watcher is doubling down on his criticisms of MSNBC’s Katy Tur low-cut long sleeved black dress. The cable news journalist gave him a tongue lashing for saying how distracted he became while watching her report the news because of her cleavage.

“Grow up,” Tur snapped at him Wednesday on Twitter.

Perhaps Tur feels empowered after recently publishing her memoir — Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History — on what it was like to cover Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign. Trump often berated her in front of massive crowds, calling her “Little Katy.” He also once surprised her with an unwanted kiss on her cheek that left her reeling with disgust and embarrassment that the incident might have been caught on camera.

The ordeal began when Kevin Doral wrote Tur directly on Twitter. “What’s with showing the cleavage?” he asked. “Hard to focus on whatever it is you are saying.”

Uh oh.

After she replied, he said, “Sorry, just a guy with a college education making an honest observation.”

Observers quickly bombed Doral with insults. They called him a “jackass” and wondered if he’d ever “seen boobs before.” One follower told him, “Just let women be women. We have boobs, get over it.”

“Boobs” have become something of an on-air topic on cable news as of late. Last month, CNN’s Brooke Baldwin abruptly ended an interview when a male guest told her he believed in the “first amendment and boobs.” A shocked Baldwin stopped the segment in its tracks. The interview was about ESPN’s Jemele Hill calling President Trump a racist on Twitter.

Doral grew defensive. He replied, “Agree. Women have boobs. There is just no professionalism in showing cleavage to every man/husband/father in the workplace.”

Another observer mocked him, saying, “KATY SHOULD COVER UP OUTSIDE BC SHE MOST LIKELY CAUSED MEN TO GET INTO AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS.”

Doral replied, “If I showed my private parts on the news would you feel the same way?”

Self-described “cranky old broad” Valerie Modesto called him a “teenager.” But Dorado wasn’t having it. “Sorry, but no longer a teenager,” he wrote. “Just a grown man with eyes.”

Other things Doral had to say fully blamed Tur. His position is that women objectify themselves — on TV and walking down the street:

“Women continue to show their cleavage & throw a hissy fit when guys with brains notice.”

“How about serious women respect the privacy of their boobs?”

“Some people are slow at understanding why women need to show their privates.”

“Just trying to take women seriously on the news. They choose to show their cleavage & then throw a fit when you notice.”

Doral caught a lot of heat on Twitter. But he refused to back down.

“Jesus? Women choose to show their cleavage & then throw a fit when you notice.”

Really, Doral is all for female equality, or so he says.

But perhaps he should just stop talking.

“Just trying to take women seriously on the news,” he wrote. “They choose to show their cleavage & then throw a fit when you notice.”

He ran a picture of Tur on Twitter and wrote, “Is professional attire too much too ask? Miss those days.”
