Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said Friday that her client definitely committed illegal acts of sexual misconduct in the workplace and that it is “gross.”

Bloom appeared Friday on “Good Morning America” with George Stephanopoulos to discuss the recent allegations against Weinstein that he subjected female employees to sexual harassment for decades.

“This is a real pattern over 30 years. This is like textbook sexual harassment,” Stephanopoulos said.

“It’s gross, yeah,” Bloom said.

Stephanopoulos said that it is not only gross, but it is illegal.

“Yes. You know, I agree,” Bloom said. “See, you have to understand that, yes, I’m here as his adviser. I’m not defending him in any sexual harassment cases — there aren’t any sexual harassment cases. I’m working with a guy who has behaved badly over the years, who is genuinely remorseful, who says, you know, ‘I have caused a lot of pain.’”

Weinstein has paid out settlements to at least eight women over the years, The New York Times reports. The women include his former assistant, an Italian Model and an actress.

“I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it. Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go,” Weinstein said in a statement. He is also reportedly seeking therapy and plans to stop working for some time to work on himself personally.
