MSNBC and CNN gave fawning coverage to Eminem’s vulgar rap freestyle directed at President Trump, in which the rapper told the president’s supporters, “f*** you.”

CNN “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota described Eminem’s message to Trump supporters as “really interesting,” while CNN analyst John Avalon described the rant as “powerful.”

“Look, that is a powerful freestyle he did last night that is going to reach a whole different audience,” Avalon said, “and the intersection of politics and pop culture is powerful.”

“It is is not about whether Michigan flips because Eminem does that last night but it’s about folks who are hearing things in real-time that they might not have heard before — the reference to Trump’s diss of John Mccain, talking about we get distracted when he talks about NFL and then we get distracted from Puerto Rico or Nevada gun laws,” Avalon said, ignoring the fact that even Democrats have conceded that no gun laws could not have prevented the Las Vegas shooter from carrying out the mass shooting.

“That’s a substantive, passionate critique that’s going to really resonate with the folks who might not be paying attention to the day-to-day,” said Avalon, who is also the editor-in-chief of liberal-leaning website The Daily Beast. “That’s why the intersection is so powerful, that’s why it mattered last night and why we will keep talking about it.”

MSNBC’s “First Look” similarly welcomed the rapper’s political tirade, with host Yasmin Vossoughian describing the vulgar rant as “powerful” and a “takedown” of Trump.
