Investigators working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller interviewed former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus on Friday, his attorney said.

“Mr. Priebus was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today. He was happy to answer all of their questions,” Priebus attorney William Burck told Politico.

The Daily Caller is told that the interview lasted all day and that there is no expectation that Priebus will be interviewed again.

Priebus, who was fired as chief of staff in July, is one of several current and former White House officials who Mueller has been interested in interviewing as part of his expansive investigation, which started out as a probe of Russian interference in the presidential campaign.

Mueller is now reportedly looking into the circumstances surrounding President Trump’s firing of James Comey as FBI director in May. Comey’s ouster set the stage for Mueller’s appointment as special counsel.

Mueller is also said to be interested in interviewing former White House press secretary Sean Spicer as well as Hope Hicks and Don McGahn, the White House communications director and general counsel, respectively.

Mueller’s team, which consists of nearly 20 federal investigators, began its interview of White House officials last month. Retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, the chief of staff for the National Security Council, was reportedly interviewed about the circumstances surrounding the firing of former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Flynn was fired by Trump on Feb. 13, just 24 days into the job, because he allegedly misled Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had last year with Russia’s ambassador.
