Gerard Butler was involved in a recent motorcycle accident, after which he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The “300” star was riding his motorcycle in Los Angeles when a car cut him off, leading him to crash his bike, TMZ reported on Monday. Gerard was taken to a nearby hospital after the crash, but apparently suffered nothing more than a couple cuts and bruises.

Gerard’s representatives told People that the crash occurred more than a week ago, but the story is just getting out.

The Scottish actor’s upcoming sci-fi thriller “Geostorm” comes out next week and luckily his crash will not keep him from promoting it as scheduled. The actor was in New York City last week where he promoted the climate change film, presumably within days of the crash.

Butler has been involved in some frightening incidents before, according to People.

Back in 2011, Butler had to be rescued in a surfing accident on the set of “Of Men and Mavericks” in Northern California.
