MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle busted out some lingo on Monday, referring to former presidential advisor Steve Bannon as President Donald Trump’s “homeboy.”
Over the weekend, Bannon attacked establishment Republicans like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for failing to pass the president’s agenda. Ruhle guessed that Bannon’s comments would make it harder for Trump to reach out to the establishment. Trump is scheduled to have lunch with McConnell on Monday.
When Ruhle explained her line of thinking, she asserted that Bannon is Trump’s “homeboy.”
“I mean, I find it all astounding,” Ruhle said. “The fact, of course, Steve Bannon this weekend, who is President Trump’s homeboy anyway you slice it, blasting Mitch McConnell and the GOP establishment and then there they are having lunch today.”
“I want to go to Capitol Hill,” she continued. “What is at stake for Majority Leader McConnell at this lunch–there’s no way he wants to even go.”
