NYT Staffers Inexplicably Sing A Broadway Tune [VIDEO]

Equal parts campy and cringeworthy, staffers at the New York Times are now belting out show tunes. While it isn’t clear why they’re doing it, watching them do it is a sight to behold.

The thing is, their voices aren’t half bad.

White House correspondent Maggie Haberman and op-ed columnist Frank Bruni can actually carry a tune without totally embarrassing themselves. Some of the others have pretty fine voices — like what the hell are they doing in journalism instead of the stage?

Some have faces and physiques best suited for radio.

Still…it takes guts to sing anything let alone Stephen Sondheim‘s “Broadway Baby.” On video no less.
