College football is only a couple days away, and that means it’s time for some gambling picks.

I know we usually do these on Thursday, but we’ve got to get them done today due to some scheduling conflicts. So let’s dive into it.

We’re currently sitting at 17-18 through, a little past the halfway mark of the season. That means we have plenty of time to get ahead.

Here are my five locks of the week:

1) Wisconsin (-24) vs. Maryland:

Maryland has no hope in this game, and it might be over by the second quarter. The Wisconsin defense is going to rain down hell on the Terrapins. Take the Badgers big.

2) Alabama vs. Tennessee (+36):

I always hesitate whenever I see a spread this large in a conference game. The Volunteers are awful, but it only takes a couple bad plays before getting up by 36 seems pretty unlikely. I like Alabama to win big, but not by 37 or more. Take Tennessee with the points.

3) Virginia Tech (-21) vs. North Carolina:

The Hokies are going to crush the Tar Heels. This won’t be a game. Take VaTech without a doubt.

4) Michigan State (-6.5) vs. Indiana:

I like the Hoosiers a lot and have watched several of their games this year. They could be very competitive within a few years, but they’re not going to keep it close against the Spartans.

5) Penn State (-9.5) vs. Michigan:

I’m surprised this is a single digit spread because PSU is going to rock Michigan if they play their usual game. It’s not even going to be close. Hammer the -9.5, get rich and thank me later.
