It’s Wednesday, October 18, 2017, and this is Today In Media — watch as we count down the five dumbest takes from media personalities.

WATCH:

Pundits from MSNBC and CNN are always on our list of worst takes of the day, and today is no different. CNN managed to hop on the list twice, with one reporter mocking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for having a hard time with stairs (he had polio as a child), and another whining that he and his colleagues had to sit at the back of a White House presser.

Also making the list today, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd is completely enamored with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and the Democrats’ new public option health plan, and MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle allowed Hugh Hefner’s son to claim that the Playboy founder only promoted “healthy” sexual relationships.

“Healthy sexual relationships? Are you freaking kidding me?” cohost Amber Athey exclaimed. “He’s been accused of drugging women so they would more readily sleep with him.”

So which of these absurd takes will reach the top of the countdown? You will have to watch the video above to find out.
