Paige VanZant didn’t fight at UFC 216, but she made it clear Wednesday that she’s coming back.
The fighting and entertainment superstar revealed in early October that a spine injury kept her out of UFC 216, which was hyped as her long-awaited return.
Well, she posted a video of herself Wednesday hitting the weights, and VanZant looked to be doing just fine.
“IM BACK!!!! Let’s go baby! Back healing up. Come get it!! #12gauge,” the fighter known as “12 Gauge” wrote for the caption.
It feels like we’re right back to where we were in April 2017. People were speculating whether or not VanZant would ever fight again. There were times I was the only one guaranteeing she would. I could tell from her signs on social media and the way she was carrying herself that a return was imminent.
I hate to hop off the top rope too soon, but I think it’s very safe to safe she might be fighting sooner than later. We’ll see how many “experts” I make look like idiots this time around.
