Woody Allen’s upcoming movie may come off as incredibly inappropriate in the wake of the countless allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

Allen’s new film, which is currently untitled, is about a middle-aged man who has an appetite for dating much younger women, according to Fox News.

Jude Law, 44, plays the older man who “makes a fool of himself over every ambitious starlet and model” he becomes involved with. Elle Fannin, Selena Gomez, Liev Schreiber, Suki Waterhouse and Kelly Rohrbach are among the young actresses co-starring in the upcoming film.

The few details that have been revealed of Allen’s newest project are already stirring up controversy given the recent allegations against Weinstein in addition to previous allegations against Allen himself.

Allen has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against him over the years, and his reaction to the Weinstein news took on a tone of empathy for the disgraced Hollywood executive. (RELATED: This Upcoming Louis C.K. Movie Has Harvey Weinstein Written All Over It)

The 81-year-old director said it was “tragic for the poor women that were involved,” but also noted he was “sad for Harvey that his life is so messed up.” He then argued against a “witch-hunt atmosphere” in the film industry that would lead to any guy who winks at a woman to acquire an attorney.

Allen later tried to clarify his comments about Weinstein, but it wasn’t particularly convincing.

“When I said I felt sad for Harvey Weinstein, I thought it was clear the meaning was because he is a sad, sick man.”
