The Los Angeles Dodgers will all be standing for the national anthem during game one of the World Series Tuesday night against the Houston Astros.

TMZ Sports reported the following:

Sources familiar with the situation tell us, none of the players will take a knee, which is consistent with the entire season … not a single member of the team has taken a knee. In fact, aside from one Oakland player, there has been no such protest on any team for the entire season.

This really shouldn’t be too surprising of news. After all, only one player took a knee all season in the MLB, and it was Oakland A’s player Bruce Maxwell. One very easy explanation for why essentially the entire league refused to protest the national anthem is the fact lots of the league is foreign born.

However, the same can’t be said for the NFL. Players have been protesting during the anthem for two seasons now. Colin Kaepernick’s protest started in the preseason of 2016, and there’s no sight to the end of the tunnel for the NFL yet.

At least fans of the MLB won’t have to worry about politics being injected into their World Series experience tonight.
