If you haven’t realized it by now, Lonzo Ball is a whole lot more mature than his father.

While LaVar Ball has made a full-time job of bragging about his kid and turning him into a target for players all around the NBA, his son has been focusing on basketball and nothing else.

This week LaVar taunted the Washington Wizards saying “they better beware, because Lonzo ain’t losing again.”

Analysts and fans (including myself) believed that John Wall would go after Lonzo for his father’s comments, and he did, but Lonzo managed to get the Los Angeles Lakers a win anyways.

The rookie point guard let everyone know how in a post-game interview when he addressed his father’s ridiculous antics, which he apparently pays no mind to.

“I already knew everybody was going to come at me like that,” Ball said. “I’m not going to get into any Twitter war. I’m going to go out there and help my team.”

Every time I hear this kid speak I wonder how he managed to end up so humble and mature with an obnoxious, arrogant person like LaVar as his father. A recurring reminder that we’re all more than just a product of our parents.
