“Game of Thrones” star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson claimed in a recent interview that he held back during his famous sparring match with Conor McGregor.

“If I would push all my power into him, I would crush him. Crush him,” Bjornsson, who plays The Mountain, told Russia Today.

That is such a sad statement from Bjornsson. McGregor worked him when they sparred with each other. Of course Bjornsson is physically bigger and stronger, but that hardly guarantees a win. The Irish-born UFC fighter used his speed, agility and stamina to make it tough for the television star to do absolutely anything.

He lost fair and square. The only thing to do after losing is own up to it, and try to get better. Don’t run out to the media several years later claiming you could have won. Take your beating like a man.

McGregor clearly danced around Bjornsson like it was a joke, as he should have. He’s a championship fighter. Size advantages aren’t going to make up for the fact he’s fighting against one of the greatest fighters ever born.
