Disgraced NFL player Greg Hardy is moving past his history of allegedly beating a defenseless woman, and now wants to be a UFC champion.

“I want to be champion of everything I can be. The world champion, best heavyweight,” Hardy told TMZ Sports about his aspirations in professional fighting.

For those who have forgotten, Hardy allegedly beat the living tar out of his former girlfriend. He was initially convicted, but the charges were eventually dropped upon appeal when the victim refused to cooperate. The NFL still slapped him with a ten game suspension, despite the fact charges were thrown out.

If the UFC is smart, they will never let Hardy near an octagon with their logo attached. It’s not a good look at all for the UFC to have a man accused of beating women in your organization. UFC president Dana White should go out of his way to make sure Hardy doesn’t ever participate in a UFC sanctioned event.
