Video footage captured by an onlooker shows terrorist Sayfullo Saipov being taken down by New York City police and handcuffed, after mowing down eight pedestrians in a bike lane in lower Manhattan Tuesday.
Saipov was in the United States on a green card since 2010, and officials believe he is linked to ISIS. “He appears to have followed almost to a T the instructions that ISIS has put out,” said New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller.

The video was taken on a cell phone and happened right after police shot Saipov, according to CBS. Ryan Nash, the police officer who shot Saipov, was described as having “lit him up” by a law enforcement official. Nash remained humble and said the police were just doing their job by preventing further loss of life.
After murdering eight and injuring 11, Saipov kept driving until he eventually rammed into a school bus. He exited his vehicle brandishing fake firearms and shouting “Allahu Akbar.” He later requested that an ISIS flag be hung in his hospital room to show his pride at having killed innocent civilians in the name of Islam.
