Taylor Swift shocked the world when she sneakily dropped a new song late Thursday night, and “Call It What You” is another hit.

Swift is hyping up the release of her album “Reputation,” which will be released November 10, by slowly releasing a small handful of single beforehand.

Now, I have listened to “Call It What You Want” several times, and I find no evidence that it’s about me, unlike “Gorgeous.”

Either way, the song is awesome. Her new album is going to break records if this new song is the standard for “Reputation.”

LISTEN:

Is there any bigger musician on the planet right now than Taylor Swift? She unexpectedly drops a song on a Thursday night, and is now owning the entertainment media cycle. That’s what I call star power.

The good news with this song is that it’s overwhelming positive about a guy. Which means that we’re going to at some point going to get a fire follow up song or album when this guy breaks her heart. The formula for her insane amount of success is shockingly simple. Sing a song about how she fell in love with a guy, sing a song about the breakup, sign a song about rebounding and repeat the cycle all the way to a billion dollars.

It’s simple and it works, and thanks to this song, I’m as confident as ever that “Reputation” is going to be pure fire.
