Despite sexually harassing women himself and being a longtime associate of Harvey Weinstein, Ben Affleck now wants to be “part of the solution” to solve the problem of sexual misconduct in Hollywood.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, the “Justice League” star claimed that he’s been “looking at my own behavior ad addressing that and making sure I’m part of the solution.” (RELATED: Ben Affleck Has Some Explaining To Do After Matt Damon’s Comments On Weinstein)

Affleck was slow to come out against Harvey Weinstein when his accusers came forward with their allegations, and then Affleck had to deal with allegations of his own. Two particular instances caught on video resurfaced, one in which Affleck can be seen groping Hilarie Burton and another in which he had his hands all over Montreal TV host Anne-Marie Losique. Now the 45-year-old actor believes that he has the solution, and it’s a pretty simple fix. The only things that need to happen to keep people like Harvey Weinstein and himself from sexually harassing women is “more women need to be pushed to power” and the issue of sexual misconduct needs to become “a men’s issue,” so women don’t have to fight it alone.

I wonder how women who have had to deal with sexual harassment feel about Affleck speaking out on their behalf. Maybe Weinstein will collaborate with the actor once again to fight for women’s rights when he gets out of sex rehab. Talk about a comeback.
