Genie Bouchard is a world-class talent on the tennis court and she might surprise you with her skills on a surfboard.
The Canadian-born tennis star is on vacation in Jupiter, Florida and appears to enjoying some time away from competition. It seems like Genie is spending most of her time lounging in the sun, but decided to try skurfing behind the boat this afternoon and stayed up longer than you might have guessed.
Skurfing is when you ride a surfboard in the wake of a boat like you would with water skis or a wakeboard, but it’s considerably more difficult because you’re not strapped in. (SLIDESHOW: Was Anna Kournikova The Best To Ever Play At Wimbledon?)
Bouchard shared a video to Instagram of herself giving it a shot Wednesday afternoon and after staying up for a while, she had a pretty epic wipeout. The 23-year-old tennis player seemed to have a good attitude about it though, saying “the fall at the end is SO dramatic lol,” in the caption.
As far as we’re concerned, the girl can do no wrong. We’ll just have to wait and see what the rest of her vacation brings.
