CNN reported Saturday that a woman who worked alongside Roy Moore as a deputy district attorney in Alabama said it was “common knowledge that Roy dated high school girls.”

WATCH:

On “CNN Newsroom with Ana Cabrera” (Boris Sanchez was hosting), reporter Alex Marquardt talked about others who had previous knowledge of misconduct allegations recently made by Leigh Corfman and other women against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.

Marquardt said, “CNN has spoken to an ex-boyfriend of Corfman’s. They dated between 2009 and 2011, and he says, as you mentioned briefly, that her story is pretty much to a ‘T’ exactly the way that she told it to him and he did indeed call her a very truthful, honest person.”

He continues, “Now, at the same time, we’re also hearing from people who knew Roy Moore from that same era, specifically a woman named Teresa Jones. She was an assistant–or sorry, a deputy district attorney when Moore was an assistant district attorney. They worked alongside each other at the courthouse in Gadsden.”

“She tells CNN, ‘it was common knowledge that Roy dated high school girls. Everyone we knew thought it was weird. We wondered why someone his age would hang out at high school football games and the mall, but you really wouldn’t say anything to someone like that.’ So, as you mentioned Boris, the hits keep coming. How will it affect the Moore campaign, how will it affect Moore supporters–that remains very much to be seen,” he finished.
