It didn’t take long for speculation about Jon Gruden going to Tennessee to spread like wildfire after Butch Jones was fired Sunday.
Twitter instantly lit up with “Grumors,” and people are starting to let their hopes run wild. It’s certainly entertaining.

Screaming for Jon Gruden and telling every other coaching candidate to piss off is what got Tennessee Derek Dooley and Butch Jones.
But, do you…

Everyone getting in their Tennessee coach predictions with Butch Jones fired? I’ll go Jim Bob Cooter.
I’ll guess Gruden says no— Jason McIntyre (@jasonrmcintyre) November 12, 2017
Bring me whiskey and bring me Gruden!

Now that @Vol_Football has fired Butch, don’t assume John Gruden will say no to the job. To quote @SteveLayman…”ASK HIM! MAKE HIM ACTUALLY TELL YOU NO!” You don’t know what you don’t ask!!! #JustSaying pic.twitter.com/sSxGCWp5zt

This is about to get wild because these rumors aren’t stopping until Tennessee hires a new coach, and I pray like hell it ends up being Gruden. That would be the best content for college football in a very long time.
It has to happen. The Volunteers might become the most watched college football team in America. Gruden back on the sidelines would truly make America great again.
