The latest college football playoff rankings were released late Tuesday night on ESPN.

The top 10 are as follow:

1) Alabama

2) Clemson

3) Miami

4) Oklahoma

5) Wisconsin

6) Auburn

7) Georgia

8) Notre Dame

9) Ohio State

10) Penn State

Nothing too surprising here. Everybody knew Alabama was going to be number one, Auburn would make a great jump, Miami would skyrocket and Wisconsin would still be disrespected. That’s the natural order. The only thing that is kind of eyebrow raising the fact Clemson was ahead of Miami. I don’t think a ton of people saw that coming.

Miami, Wisconsin, Alabama all for sure control their own destinies. The same can also probably be said for Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia. It’s tough to judge that so far for Auburn. They are sitting at six, but those two losses might loom large at the end of the season.
