Former NFL player Ricky Williams thinks it’s time for Colin Kaepernick to give up his pursuit of playing football and find something else to do.

“I’d rather be somewhere I’m celebrated rather than where I’m tolerated. If they don’t want you, go do something else,” Williams told TMZ Sports.

He also added that Kaepernick should find something else that he’s also good at to consume his time.

Williams, who had very well documented issues off the field with drugs, has a pretty solid point here. Especially if you add in the fact that Kaepernick is currently suing the NFL. It’s going to be pretty hard to convince an owner to take a shot on a guy who is also at the same time suing the league’s ownership. That doesn’t seem like a plausible situation.

Kaepernick should take Williams’ advice if he’s smart. His football career ended the moment he left the San Francisco 49ers, but he does seem interested in social activism. Perhaps that’s where his future is at because the odds of it ever being at football seem pretty slim.
