Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James thinks the NFL has blackballed Colin Kaepernick.

James told ESPN the following after a Sunday practice:

I love football, but I’m not part of the NFL. I don’t represent the NFL. I don’t know their rules and regulations. But I do know Kap is getting a wrong doing, I do know that. Just watching, he’s an NFL player. He’s an NFL player and you see all these other quarterbacks out there and players out there that get all these second and third chances that are nowhere near as talented as him. It just feels like he’s been blackballed out of the NFL. So, I definitely do not respect that.

I’m glad we have James weighing in on this situation. If there’s anybody who knows what’s in the minds of an NFL general manager or owner when evaluating a quarterback, it’s absolutely LeBron James.

Anybody with an ounce of intelligence can understand why Kaepernick isn’t playing in the NFL. His distractions outweigh his talent on the field. He used to be a very solid quarterback when Harbaugh was his coach. We all saw what happened after Harbaugh left.

Defenses quickly figured out how to stop the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback. He was relegated to the bench in no time. Now, ask yourself what owner is dumb enough to sign a guy who won’t even start knowing how fans will react. It’s not rocket science. In fact, it’s really simple to figure out.
